Through using digital synthesis and processing techniques such as phase vocoding and granular synthesis, different spectral components of ‘found’ recorded sounds are highlighted and manipulated creating a series of transforming crystalline sound envelopes. Splinter was first performed at the 1999 International Computer Music Conference Beijing, China. |
